1-minute test [OK]

This is my first 1-minute test. I'm using Audacity on Windows, and my mic is a Bluetooth earphone mic (I don't have an actual mic, and wanted to check if my earphone will do or if I will need to get one). Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Jen. Your voice is fine and the mic, while sounding soft, is doing the job. You will need to fix one technical spec and increase your volume for a second test however:

1) we need 128 kbps constant bit rate; yours is set to 68 kbps variable

2) we aim at 89 decibels of loudness; this track is now a bit low at 85.3.

Your volume is also easy. I suggest you speak a bit louder and also increase the Recording Volume inside of Audacity. it is the litttle slider bar next to a microphone icon. ask if you can't find it. We use a little program called the Checker to quickly see the volume of our MP3 files and you should too https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QKVOYsaDoRo&feature=youtu.be

So..... please make another test that has about 5 decibels more volume, call it TEST 2,export it with 128 kbps bit rate, upload and put the link here in this forum so I will see it quickly. You are almost there!!!
