I use a Yeti X mic and Audacity 2.4.2 version on a Windows laptop

Please let me know if I set everything up correctly.

Thank you

There are two things you need to fix and then make another test, call it TEST 2:

1) we need a bitrate of 128kbps constant; yours is now at 48 kbps variable. here is a video on how to do that. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l54FyB3wLpA

2) we need a volume of around 89 decibels; yours is now at 79.,6 which is low. Increase the gain on your microphone and/or move the volume slider bar (look for the mic icon) to the right to increase the gain there. Also moving a bit closer to the microphone will help. There is a program most of us use to check our volume before we upload it the Checker https://youtu.be/QKVOYsaDoRo

So, please fix these to little things, make another recording, call it TEST 2, upload and put the link here in this thread so I will see it quickly. Your voice is really very nice!!! Our zombie Fred wishes you well Image
