Hi there, I record through a zoom h6, edit in Audacity and GarageBand depending on the subject matter and what the book is about to make it more fun! I'm Mac based.Analog mic sm7b

Really nice voice! and clear as a bell. Your tech specs are fine except for one thing. Please fix this and make another test ,call it TEST 2 :
we need 128 kbps bit rate constant; yours is now at 192 kbps.

So ... that's it, fix the bit rate when you export in audacity, name it TEST 2, upload and put the link here in this thread so I will see it quickly!

Hi there, when I go to upload I'm getting a
SyntaxError: JSON Parse error: Unrecognized token '<'

I've tried to rename it but no go - thoughts?

nvm I re logged into this portal and I'm golden

I just exported the initial file to 128 instead of 192 - please advise!

And you are indeed golden. All if fine and you have the official OK to record lots and lots. We recommend something short for your first section like poetry https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ExS71WYtUIc since you will need to edit it after recording. Have fun!!!
