Hi Kyra! You have everything correct except for your bit rate. We need a bit rate of 128 kbps constant . Yours is currently at 73 kbps variable. This is easy to fix when you export with audacity. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l54FyB3wLpA

Please set your software to 128kbs constant, make another test , call it TEST 2, upload and put the link here in this thread where I will see it quickly.

Kyra, not quite. we need 128 kbps constant; your latest test is at 118 kbps variable. Please watch the video and change your settings to 128 kbps constant. So make another test export it as TEST 3, upload it and put the link here in this thread. If you do not label it TEST 3 I have problems confusing it with your earlier tests. Be patient you are almost there.

Good afternoon,

The attached YouTube video does not work and says the video is unavailable. Second I believe there is supposed to be an option to change the kbps variable when you export the recording, but I do not see one. When I export the audio, there is not an option on the bottom right-hand corner that allows me to change the bit rate. Where should I change the bit rate?

Be patient, I will work this out. Please try this link https://youtu.be/K2JWKadgtdE The option is when exporting the file as an MP3. There are boxes below, that show 'quality' and the drop down choises are there. Please try it again. Sorry for theproblems.

Yes, that is fine! You have the official OK to record lots and lots for LibriVox. We recommend shorter pieces for your first recording because you will need to edit them and that is another skill https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ExS71WYtUIc
