Hello!

This is my first recording, unedited. Any and all feedback is appreciated.

Recorded on iPhone's Voice Memo via the standard iPhone headphones/mic. The file was transferred to my Windows 10 computer via google drive and converted to mp3 via Audacity.

Looking forward to your feedback.

Thanks!

Hello!

This is the same clip, but with amplification and noise reduction only.

Happy to hear feedback. I can't tell by listening if my Ps are plosives or not. I'm assuming no, but looking for confirmation.

Hi Evan. Your voice is great but you need to fix one of your tech specs and increase your volume.
1) We need a bit rate of 127 kbps constant; yours is at 94 variable. You can fix this in Audacity http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l54FyB3wLpA .

2) We look for a volume of around 89 dB; your test track comes in at 81.5 - low.
This can be fixed by increasing the gain going into the software or, less desireable, is to increase the volume in audacity by using Effect > amplify by about 8 dB.

Please fix these two t hings and make another test, name it Test 2, upload and put the link here in this thread and I'll see it quickly. You are almost there, it won't be long. :D

Hi. You got your second test in before I could do your first, boy you are fast! Anyway, your volume is fine now but the bit rate is now at 100 Kbps variable. Move it to 128, make another test, call it test 3, and lets see, ok?
EDIT: Your Ps are fine. no problem at all.

You are rockin' and rollin' Evan and have the OK to record lots and lots for LibriVox. Keep these specs and head on over to Readers Wanted to see if anything catches your eye. The next step is editing so go for something short. I hav
e videos for editing in Audacity if you will be using that but you will have no problem, you are very q uick!!

Oh, and Petunia, our LibriVox penguin welcomes you too with her special dance Image
