Hi. Your voice is very nice but there are two things you need to fix with your set up:

1) We require a bit rate of 128 kbps constant; yours is now at 81 kbps variable
2) We aim at a volume of around 89 dB; yours is now at 82.6, about 6 db too low

Here is a video on setting tech specs in Audacity https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d8JkCgKo3fU&t=72s I assume it will work on a mac.
Your volume is best increased by turning up the gain on your microphone and/or inside Audacity and even moving a bit closer to the microphone. Here is a program we use to check our volume https://youtu.be/QKVOYsaDoRo

So... please fix these two t hings, make another test call it TEST 2, upload and put the link here in this thread so I will see it quickly. You are almost there! :D

Thank you so much for your feedback! The instructional videos were extremely helpful. Here is the link to my second test.

Yippee! Everything is exactly right and you get the big OK to record lots and lots for LibriVox. Now head on over to our Readers Wanted: Short works and find someting short to read (because you will need to edit it before uploading and that is another skil!)
