Here (https://librivox.org/uploads/tests/test_dabow.mp3) is my 1 minute test!

I did a podcast last year so I have a bit of Audacity experience, so it sure feels weird to upload an unprocessed clip! The sound level is low but that's easy to fix with amplify. Any suggestions for noise reduction?

I'm using Audacity on Windows 10, with a USB mic.

Yes, that does feels weird indeed to upload an unedited file! Although if this is unedited you have a great recordig set up and a great voice!! Your tech specs are fine but your volume is indeed low at 81.4 dB. We aim at ~89 dB. As you said this is easily fixed, just increase the gain a bit in Audacity or your mic. We recommend the Checker program to find volume https://youtu.be/QKVOYsaDoRo

Background noise? yeah, there is some and a quick pass with Noise Reduction might be nice; -15dB? but this is not essential.
Please make a TEST 2 with more volume, upload and put the TEST 2 link here and I will check it out ASAP.

Here's the cleaned-up pass! I think it sounds pretty good on the volume and noise fronts. Do you think I need to run a low-pass filter to cut some of the sibilants, or am I overthinking it?

Excellent! Volume is 88.9 now, just fine and please don't bother about running any low pass filter, you sound perfectly fine. Go forth and record lots and lots! You have the OK! Here is a video I made on claiming your first section https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ExS71WYtUIc It isn't perfect but gives a bit of guidance; feel free to do what you wish. Ask if you need advice on editing.
