feedback appreciated, thanks!
1 minute test
Hi Jarrod
I reviewed your sample, and it sounds really good, and it almost meets all the specs. It's a little loud by about 5db. LV wants audio in the 86 - 92 db range and your sample clocks in at 96. You can verify this yourself by downloading the free Checker app: https://cgjennings.ca/projects/checker/
There is also a bit of background hiss. A light application if the noise removal in Audacity would take care of it. So with those two tweaks, you're good-to-go.

Hi. Please send us another test, call it TEST 2, with the volume closer to 89 dB. I will check it out quickly.

Man, I wish I had seen this before I recorded my first short solo work!
But maybe you could direct me as to what to do next? It looks like I don't need to announce a short solo work in Launch, so I'm not really sure what to do with my recording now...
Thanks in advance!

Ha, but please tell me more. What work did you record? I have a feeling we can work this out. Here is a video on our forums and it has some info on our ordinary process and forum. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AK9HAdLF-2k&t=30s88jarrod88 wrote: ↑October 28th, 2020, 1:08 pmMan, I wish I had seen this before I recorded my first short solo work!![]()

Post your response and questions in this forum. In the meantime you still need to get your technical specs to match what we use so follow the instructions Mark and I gave you and do another test. We call it getting the official OK to record.

Shoot, ok, thank you. I recorded a medieval Icelandic work called The Saga of Hrafnkell Frey's-Priest. I'll get to work on it this weekend. It was a lot harder to read than I expected, with the archaic English the translator used and all of the Old Norse names.

This is getting a bit tangled but please do not record anything until you get the OK on your 1 minutes test. Has this happened yet? We need to have your technical specs match what we use so that your recording is not wasted. So, how is that going?88jarrod88 wrote: ↑November 3rd, 2020, 6:24 amShoot, ok, thank you.
