Hi folks,

I haven't volunteered in a long time and I'm using a new audio setup, so I thought it prudent to submit a one minute test to make sure everything is in order. I'm recording on a Windows laptop using a Samson Meteor USB Mic and Audacity for post-processing. Appreciate any feedback you have. Thanks!

Yes, it is prudent to do a check :D

So tech specs are spot on! Volume is nice and sound is quite clear, though I hear some background noise. Would you like to try the Noise Reduction effect in Audacity and see if it makes a difference? Here's a guide: https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php?title=Noisecleaning_With_Pics#Clean_up_the_Noise:_Audacity_versions_from_2.1.0
When ready, upload your new file and post here again. Thanks!
Welcome back to Librivox!

Gave the track a pass with the noise reduction, let me know what you think.
