Ok so super nervous obviously as I've never done a recording! Open to suggestions thanks!

Welcome!

It all checks out.

Does TwistedWave have any noise reduction function? If so, I think your recording would benefit from it, as there's a fair amount of background white noise.

Experiment with it a bit, then post your results in this thread. :)

My only suggestion is to try not to blast your vowels. That's a recording / voice control thing that takes practice and comes with time, and is really a Level 2 suggestion. ;)

I think so - but it's too quiet now. It needs to come up about 3 or 4 dB.

(And your bit rate is 320 kbps rather than 128...)

Ok I found this and it feels a log better. What do you think?

I think so, too. :)

Bit rate is now variable as opposed to constant. 128 kbps constant, please. And yeah, this is one of the important specs that can't be fudged.

There's a small program the spouse of a LibriVoxer developed to check the tech settings. If you're game, you can download it and use it to check the volume and other settings. It's here: https://cgjennings.ca/projects/checker/
It'll tell you if your bit rate is OK. 8-)
