This was recorded using Reaper V.6 on Windows 10 using an analog mic through an Scarlet 6i6 audio interface.

Hi and Welcome to LibriVox! Here are some adjustments to make for LV recordings,

1. First, this test file is stereo. It needs to be mono.

2. The volume on this recording is too low. (76.3db). We aim for 89 db with an acceptable range of 86-92 db. Please adjust your input gain or amplify to the target range.

You can download the checker program to check your volume after exporting to mp3 and before you upload your file.

Please make the above adjustments and upload another test. Just post the link to this same thread to keep all your tests together.

I made the adjustments you mentioned. Does this work?

Thanks for the advice!

Great job! Proof Listen (PL) ok.

You may now record for projects. We suggest starting in short works until you are comfortable with the editing process.

When you have some time please take a look at our wiki. It's a wonderful resource.

Have fun and thank you for contributing. :D
