I'm working with the most up to date version of Audacity. I'm working on a Mac Book Pro. I'm using a Fifine USB microphone.

I tied my best to abide by recording and exporting specs and tried to clean the audio with the Noise Reduction effect.

Welcome!

Tech settings all check out!

The volume is a bit too low. Numerically, you need to come up about 4 dB. Visually, you should aim for your wave forms to peak near the 0.5 mark, like this:

Move the microphone slider in the Audacity window up, maybe one full notch.

It's a bit hard to tell about the background noise, since you didn't leave a "tail" on the end where the mic is on, but you're not speaking. :) That's also a good spot to grab for the Noise Profile (the first step in noise reduction), and it's a good habit to get into, since we leave a 5-second tail on our recordings.

However, I didn't hear much noise when I listened. :)

Are you comfortable adjusting your volume, or do you want a second opinion on any new level you set?

I have taken all previous notes into consideration and have created a second attempt. I downloaded the checker tool and this passed according to it's reading. I have left a five second gap at the end. I apologize for forgetting to do that the first time around.
