Hi! I’m new and so excited to record! Please listen to my one minute test!!

I recorded on a Microsoft surface Pro, using Audacity and an USP Microphone.

Does this meet the requirements? Please offer feedback.

Thanks so much!

Hi Shannon, welcome to the forum and thank you for your test. I merged your two tests into one, best to keep it all in one thread.

You have a lovely voice and I really enjoyed this smile in your narration. Made me smile as well :D I can hear that you enjoy recording.

There is only one tiny technical bit that needs correcting and that is the bitrate, which needs to be 128kbps constant (yours is at 192). In Audacity this get changed in the exporting to mp3 phase:

> go to File / Export Audio
> open Options in the lower right corner
> select the following settings: Bit Rate Mode: Constant / Quality: 128 kbps
> press Ok

Could you please change these settings, no need to re-record. Please reupload and post in this same thread (just press the reply button here), then I get alerted of the new post and can have another look.

You'll be ready to roll soon :)

 all correct now and you're ready to roll. This test is officially OK. You can mention it in any claims you will make.

Have fun with your first recording and maybe I'll hear you in a project one day. With you expressiveness I wouldn't be surprised to hear you in our drama forum soon
