Welcome, welcome! Sorry for the delay in checking your test.

Tech settings are all OK, and there is little/no background noise. :) It sounds great!

Volume is a bit high, and I see some clipping on the file. (I don't hear distortion; perhaps you amplified to maximum volume, so that the highest peaks are now hitting max?) I don't know Reaper, but perhaps you could turn down your input level a little bit, or not amplify as much. Overall, the volume can come down about 4-5 dB.

That's it! Try making these adjustments, then post another test. Maybe use a file name of "test_barcoder39" (not such a long file name), and post in this same thread when it's ready. :)

I cut the input gain and master mix level back a bit. Hope it's better now!
