my one minute test. I recorded a microfiction piece I recently wrote.
I used Reaper, as that is the program I am most familiar with.

Lovely piece, nice writing. Let's fix a few things first. Unfortunately I don't know Reaper so I can't give instructions.
  • We need mono sound and not stereo
  • Your recording is quiet at 72.2 dbs, we need 86-92 with 89 preferred
  • You will want to run noise reduction on the finished product
Once you make these edits please re upload, post in this thread, and I'll take another listen.

Hello! Here's my 2nd attempt at a one minute test. I can't seem to find any record of my 1st attempt. Is it possible it was deleted for some kind of violation? Anyway, I hope this is a more satisfactory effort.

Oh, I used Reaper instead of Audacity, as that is the program I have the most familiarity with.

Hi Mark,

Here is the thread with your original test. viewtopic.php?f=21&t=75030&p=1590229#p1590229
It would be best to post the second attempt there as well. :-)

I saw this eventually, sorry for the wait. Posting in the same thread would have notified me.

Very close, just one little thing. I'm still getting that it is in stereo sound and not mono. Also, you may want to run one more pass of noise reduction on it, but that is optional.

Anyways, one more try please, almost there!
