Hey there, welcome to LibriVox! Your voice is lovely, can't wait for you to begin recording! There are a few things that should be fixed first however.

The first is the background noise, which there is quite a bit of. To fix this:
1. Select a small piece of your recording that is pure noise
2. Go into menu items Effect>Noise Reduction
3. In Section 2 on the screen, choose your settings. My settings are Noise Reduction: I've used anywhere from 10-20, for you 12 should suffice, Sensitivity: 6, Frequency: 6.
4. Select 'Get Noise Profile'.
5. Select your entire recording.
6. Go to menu items Effect>Repeat Noise Reduction.
7. Take a listen, you may find that you want to do this over again to reduce more noise.

The next two things can be fixed together. The first is that we require mono sound, your recording is in stereo. The other is that we require constant 128 kbps, yours is variable 143. These are simple fixes:
1.Go to export it (menu items file>export)
2. Look under the Format Options section
3.Where it says 'Bit Rate Mode', select 'Constant'
4. In the 'Quality' drop down menu select 128 kbps.
5. At the bottom of the screen, select 'Force to Mono'
Luckily, you should only have to do this once! It should remember your settings from now on!

Once you do this, please re upload with the same file name and post in this thread. I'll take another listen! I think we can get through this quickly :D!

Here's my retry!
Great work! The bitrate is fine now! There is still some background noise, but it seems reduced from last time. If I were you I would run one more pass of background noise on it. However, you have demonstrated you can clearly use this feature well! So, I will give you the OK to begin recording! Have fun and I'll see you around :D
