Hello librivox, this is my 1-minute test in English. I am using Audacity program on windows 7 through a built-in microphone.

P.S: Sorry for my bad English. As an Arabic native speaker should I do the test in Arabic?

It doesn't really matter what language you do your test in. I'll only be able to respond in English, though. I hope that is okay.

All of your technical settings are okay, except for your volume. It is about 5 dB too loud. You should be able to adjust the level of the microphone in Windows' audio settings. Try to turn it down, just a little bit. There is also some background noise. Usually, built-in microphones don't have very good sound quality. That will be ok, if it's the only option you have right now, but you should learn how to use the noise cleaner in Audacity. Here is a pretty good tutorial: https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php?title=Noisecleaning_With_Pics

If you want to check your own volume to see if you've adjusted your microphone to the right level, you can download Checker. It's a very simple program that is easy to use.

Try a new test and post it here when it is ready. If you have any questions, please ask!
