Welcome!

It sounds great! The only issue is the bit rate.

On your file, it is variable; it needs to be 128 constant. This is set when you export to MP3. When you go to export, on the screen where you enter the file name for the MP3, change the Bit Rate mode to Constant, and the quality should be 128 kbps. You should only have to set it once; it'll remember the setting until you change it again.

Your volume is great; it's on the high side of "great" - leave it where it is, but don't go any louder. :)

Please fix the bit rate, then post another test. Use the same file name as your previous one, and post in this same thread when it's ready. :)

Hi,

As per your instructions, here is the link with the modified bit rate. I hope it's okay?

Sorry about that! I did export>MP3>test_pash>Bit rate mode 'constant'>Quality '128kbps'. Can I send you a screen shot somehow please?

That sounds right to me. Could you have simply uploaded the old file? :hmm:

(Don't spread this around, but the uploader can handle jpgs, too. So go ahead and upload a jpg to the tests folder and post that URL in here, too.)

I thought I over wrote the old file. :? I'll repeat the process and hopefully that will work. If not, shall I alter the file name slightly?

Still variable! Here's my screen shot:

File name doesn't matter. The uploader renames the old file and keeps the file name for the newest version uploaded. You can see all your uploaded files here: https://librivox.org/uploads/tests/ (search for "pash" and you'll find them).

Wait - there are only 2 files, and not one uploaded today!
