Hello all. Thanks for any and all feedback. This was done with Audacity, on a Windows 7 machine, with a USB mike.

Welcome at LibriVox, Craig :)

Nice clear reading

We only need to fix the bitrate - it is variable, we need 128 kbps constant. Set this on exporting:
http://cisdem.de/librivox/AudaCity_2_2_pics/export.png

Also watch the volume; it is just a little bit too loud. You can measure it with ReplayGain or Checker (link see sig)

The recording might benefit from just a little bit of noise reduction, but not too much. It is a two step process: first mark a little bit noise only, go to Effects - Noise Reduction and click "Get Noise Profile". Then mark the whole recording, go to Effects - Noise Reduction again and click "ok". The preset values should do.

Please edit the file accordingly, load it up and post the link here in the thread again, thank you. :)
