Hey everyone! My name's Maggie, and I've recorded Andre Marvell's "To His Coy Mistress" for my one-minute test. I used a USB mic and Garageband for recording and editing, and I'd appreciate any feedback you can give me. Thanks!

Hi Maggie, welcome to LibriVox

great that you immediately jumped in and did a whole poem, even though only one minute was required ;) but your reading is very good, and the sound is agreeable too. Not too much background noise, and everything clearly understandable.

There is only one problem, that is not meeting LV criteria and that is that the file is in Stereo, but we need Mono.

Now with Garageband, I already heard it's a bit tricky to get the file into mono, here is a wiki article that deals with this:

I hope you manage to change it according to these instructions. Could you please re-upload the recording once more in this thread, so I can have a second look ?

Thank you

Sonia

Thanks for the feedback! I think I did this correctly: https://librivox.org/uploads/tests/1Minute_LibriVox_test.wav.

That file should be in mono channel.

Thanks!

Hi again

this is a .wav file. Could you please export it to mp3 so I can check the tech specs ?

Thanks :)

Sonia
