Good morning. The first process with voice recordings is to apply a low roll filter. This will clean a lot of mud out of any recording. I applied it to your latest file and it remove 18dbs of static. This is the process.

1. Record with your input between a -12 and -18dbs.
2. Bring your audio to the desired output levels.
3. Do all your edits.
4. Apply low roll off filter. (Effects-Audacity-Equalization-Low Roll Off For Speech)
5. Run noise reduction.
6. Recheck output level and adjust if needed.
7. Export audio.
