This was made using GarageBand on a mac, with a USB microphone.

I know there's a slight background hum, but they said to submit the raw file without background noise reduction, so...

Thank you!

Hi macbethlady,

welcome here at LibriVox.

Very clear and understandable reading

Bitrate at 128 kbps, Sample rate at 44100 Hz, Mono, that's all fine  Volume is just inside the range, that's ok, just don't get any louder.

There is some noise, yes. I did a light brush in Audacity and it was better than. I can't help you with Garage Band though, but I trust you that you can do it as you already noticed it :)

I noticed that the fields of the metadata are filled in. Usually they are just kept free meanwhile; sometimes a BC requests certain fields but the comment field is free always afair. Please keep an eye on this. But I trust you that you can handle this.

Hop over and claim Kitterland; I saw that afutterer didn't sign you up yet.

This test can be marked as ok

I don't know what metadata is, but I'll look into it. Thank you. :-)

Metadata is the information about the file that either you or the program adds. Things such as Title, Author, Comments, etc.

It's not a big deal. :)
