hi Mort :) welcome to the forum and thanks for starting out with a one-minute test.

Already your reading is very nice and clearly understandable. Very good.
The technical details are on the whole also all up to LV standard.

Only one thing you need to change is the volume which is outside our accepted limit of 86-92 dB. Yours is barely 81 dB, so we need to amplify quite a bit. Could you do the following to this test please (don't re-record):

> highlight your recording
> go to Effect
> go to Amplify
> input 6 (for your test) in the first slot (amplification dB)
> press ok

Now a bit of noise-cleaning may also be helpful, so after amplification, you could also do this:

> select a small portion where you don't speak (usually at the end of your file)
> go to Effect - Noise Cleaning
> first select Get Noise Profile
> then highlight the entire recording
> again Effect - Noise Cleaning
> now select OK

This should provide a cleaner file. :) Can you please re-upload once again in this thread so I can have a second listen ? If anything is still unclear, don't hesitate to ask.

Thanks

Sonia

Hello, thank you for your feedback.
Attached is the new file.

I wasn't able to get the checker program installed initially. Was having an issue with Java. Should be good to go now though.

thanks Mort, yes this is absolutely perfect now. I'll mark this test OK and you are free to roam the board and pick up some sections along the way, which you want to record

Good luck and most of all, have fun !
