Hi Mike, welcome to LV. I see you immediately got some practical training in and started on a "real" book. Sounds wonderful, the way you narrate. Fluent, but still not too fast for comprehension. :9: And you read in character, something I personally adore. It makes the reading very lively.

All your tech specs are perfect too. Your volume is at 91.9 dB, which is just inside our accepted limit of 92 db. So this will pass the test, but don't let it get any louder. A dB or two less will also be ok. ;)

There is only one single "plosive" I noticed, at 1:05 min. (the second 'p' in "perhaps", you hear a rustling). While this is not a reason to fail any reading, I just mention it, so you are aware of it. But all the rest of your reading was flawless, so I guess it was just a single incident.

Ok long story short, I see no reason why I should not give to an OK on your test  You are perfectly equipped to start recording for real. I guess you will get started in the Pendennis project then ;) Good luck and have fun !

Oh and coming back to your expressive reading...if ever you feel inclined to check out our drama forum, I think you would fit in perfectly there :9: I am always on the lookout for potential new voices. It's great fun ! I hope I can PL you in a role one future day.

Sonia
