Hi, Natalie. Welcome to LibriVox!

You have a pleasant voice. There are some tech issues you'll need to work out before you get started. What software are you using? If it's Audacity, this is a handy guide to help you get your settings where they need to be. If not, do consider using Audacity, as it's free quality software that most everyone here is familiar with and able to help with.

Either way, the specific things you'll need to fix are:
  • Bit rate. It should be constant at 128 kbps and it currently variable.
  • Mono sound (meaning there is only one audio track). You are currently in Stereo (two tracks).
You'll also need to adjust your volume a little higher, and will probably need to apply some noise cleaning. But see what you can do about those first two, then we'll look at volume and background noise.
