Hi there!

Here's my one minute test, recorded through Audacity on a Windows computer with a USB mic.

Thanks in advance for any feedback!

welcome to the forum Annabelle. :) I just listened to your test and can say, your way of reading is absolutely nice and understandable. I like your slightly husky voice very much. You also managed to get the volume bang in the required middle of 89 dB  and the rest of the technical settings are also accurate and don't need to get changed anymore.

The only thing which you still could improve is the background noise which is a bit loud. I'm glad you use Audacity, because it's very easy to noise-clean in that program. Can you try the following steps please:

> highlight a few seconds at the end (where you don't speak)
> go to Effect - Noise Reduction
> first press "Get Noise Profile"
> then highlight the ENTIRE text
> again go to: Effect - Noise Reduction
> and finally press OK and Audacity is doing the rest

After that please re-upload and I'll have another listen. :)

thanks

Sonia
