Hello there, here is my 1 minute test, https://librivox.org/uploads/tests/test_skargill.mp3 recorded in Audacity for windows 10 on a Toshiba Laptop. My microphone is a usb Q1U dynamic.

All the technical settings are correct, well done! I only have one suggestion for improvement, and that is to run the test through the tool for cleaning background noise (I do this with every single recording ;) ). It is not hard:
Select a few seconds of background noise only (no speech) and click Effect | Noise Reduction | Get Profile. Then select the whole recording (Ctrl+A), click Effect | Noise Reduction again, and use settings:

Noise Reduction: 10 dB
Sensitivity: 6
Frequency smoothing (bands) 6

and click OK.

Save, upload and post again in this thread. You'll be recording soon "for real"!
