Recording done by Wolfgang Milliken through Audacity. Operating on a Yeti analog microphone through Windows 10. Have done audio work in the past but my engineering skills could still use some work. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Wolfgang! Welcome to Librivox!

Your sound is impressive! However, the tech specs are not in accordance with the Librivox requirements. The recording should be in mono instead of stereo, and the bit rate should be 128 kbps constant. Here's instructions how to set those in Audacity if needed: https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php?title=Audacity_1-2-3#Configure

When you're ready with a new file, please post here for a final check :D

Hi Wolfgang! The tech specs are now correct, but the volume dropped under the desired range.

If you'd like, you could use the Checker which is a tool that checks mp3 files to Librivox standards. It would show the volume in decibels and ideal volume is around 89dB (but anything between 86-92dB should be OK), so you'd know if you needed to adjust the volume, with amplification or de-amplification.

With just a heads up on the volume, you're ready for the real recordings! Have fun here!
