Hi there

Your recording sounds very nice, however thee are two technical issues. First, it's a WAV file; LV requires 128kb mono MP3's. You can select these when exporting from Audacity. Second, the volume is way too low. The peaks of your waveforms should be at about the .5 mark in the Audacity recording window. You need to turn up the recording gain, which I think may be on your USB mic.

You can check tech specs yourself by downloading the free Checker app here: https://cgjennings.ca/projects/checker/

Make a new sample and post it in this thread; someone will come along and review it.

Hi Cameron

LV requires 128kb MP3's with a 44.1khz sample rate; you submitted a WAV file at 48khz. It is also too loud at 96.6db, LV requires audio from 86 to 92db. You can check these specs yourself by downloading the free Checker app: https://cgjennings.ca/projects/checker/

Please make a new sample, then post it in Listeners & Editors as a new topic under your name; it'll be much easier to find. Thanks.

All OK, although you have a bit of background noise. You can reduce this using Audacity noise reduction under filters. No need to do another sample, do that and you are good to go. Happy narrating!

Mark, are you saying this is OK? or does he need to submit the file after noise reduction? just checking before marking it so.
