I am using Audacity for editing and a Plantronics headset. I have a Blue Yeti Pro microphone with a pop filter that is arriving on Tuesday and I am also converting an area under our basement stairs with acoustic panels, so I'll be recording under there (Harry Potter-style!) I just saw there is a "Peter Piper" example I should have done - please let me know if you'd like me to post another sample after I get the new equipment.

Sorry - this is longer than 1 minute. Hope it was okay to just use an audition I used for Learning Ally. If I need to record something shorter, just let me know. Thanks!

thank you for submitting you 1 minute test.

That was great! I love stories. I think the reason why we have the Peter Piper thingy, is so people have something to read. But the story was great, and it was read very well! Good job! :D <Smile>

We always have uploads in lower case, I know this is a test for right now, but everywhere else you'll need to do the file name in lower case.

The bit rate is at 192kbps, but that's alright. This video will show you how to fix it on audacity https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l54FyB3wLpA.

If you have any questions or problems fixing these, please feel free to ask.

Thank you so much
Elijah

Hi Elijah and thanks for reviewing! I appreciate the feedback. Do you want me to fix those and resubmit to this forum, or just remember to always upload in lowercase and use 128kbps in the future? :) Is everything else okay? If so, I will get started on recording my project. Thanks again!

Hi - I think I must have posted this in the wrong place, but I'm posting it here again just to make sure. Please let me know if this meets the criteria. Thank you!

Christine

Yep, until you get the OK, just keep posting your new one minute test here (if you have to make any more changes... I'll check for those in a moment). The tech specs we ask you to fix here, are things you'll need to do for each of your upcoming readings. So yes, you'll always be uploading in lowercase, and use 128kbps.

Thank you so much! :D <Smile>

You have fixed all the tech specs quite well! Good job!

There is one thing though, and it is my fault for not mentioning it (sorry), but we do use underscores for file names. So your file name for your last recording was https://librivox.org/uploads/tests/almafinal2.mp3 ... where it should be https://librivox.org/uploads/tests/almafinal_2_128kbps.mp3

It was my fault for not mentioning it. If you just remember to make your filenames as I should you above, then your good to go! Good job! <thumbs up>

If you need any help with file names, you can just ask. Otherwise, in the first post of a group project, you can find what the filename should be for that specific project.

Thank you so much, well done!
