Don Sebastian; or, The House of the Braganza: An historical Romance. vol. 1, by Anna Maria Porter (1780 - 1832)

All audio files can be found on our catalog page: https://librivox.org/don-sebastian-or-the-house-of-the-braganza-an-historical-romance-vol-1-by-anna-maria-porter/

Romantic history of the fictional Don Sebastian, which was suggested to the author by a plaque commemorating a mysterious "Portuguese stranger". There is a historical backdrop, but the story itself and the characters are figments of her imagination. (Summary by Lynne T)

Hello,

May I ask to claim Section 0, the Preface and Introduction?

Thank you—this looks like a very cool book!

And, if so—should I read the quotation in the front matter ("Take Physic, Pomp!…"), or just start where it says "Preface"?

Thanks very much! :)

There is no need to read the quotation.

Preface and Introduction PL OK

Very nice first recording: clear and well-paced

Nothing to fix, but a couple of comments: watch the file name. You had a spelling error. We don't ask readers to change that if there are no other edits, as we can do it behind the scenes... but, as you can imagine, if it happens a lot, it gets quite onerous.
Secondly, although not wrong, we don't usually say "section zero" -- usually we just say "preface and introduction" or whatever is appropriate.

Well done... I hope you will read a lot more

Section 4 is the continuation of chapter 3. I’d like the same reader t read both sections. Shall I put you in for both?

Ah, sorry, I meant chapter 4, so section 5. I might circle back for more, but figured start with one to see how it flows.
