I hope this one is OK. I think it was my longest one to date. Whew!

It was good practice for me! You're quite welcome. If I didn't want to do it, I wouldn't have!

Greetings -

Welcome to LibriVox and its eclectic cast of characters, BriAlexis.

Overall, Chapter 19 sounded good with no problems on the technical side.

Just a couple of corrections and it will be listed as PL OK.

TIME: 14:19 TEXT: "drawing off his gloves bade, for the benefit of his passengers:" COMMENT: Maybe it's my ears, but the word "bade" sounds like it is pronounced "blade".

The silent period at the end of the recording needs to be shortened to five seconds.

Let's hear you again soon.

Lomond
Thanks so much! Didn't realize there was some extra silence at the end there, so I've cut that part out and changed my word-error you mentioned as well. Hope this works better!

Some notes on Chapter 10:

TIME: 00:03 The silent period at the beginning of the recording needs to be trimmed by three seconds.

TIME: 00:24 There is a very long silent period here that needs to be eliminated.

There is a slight steady background noise that could be dealt with using the noise filter.

Other than these three items, it's a good reading. No problems calling it PL OK after this bit of editing.

Some notes for Chapter 20:

TIME: 00:00 The silent period at the beginning of the recording needs to be trimmed down to less than one second.

At the end, there is a pause just before you read "End of Chapter 20" that needs to be shortened.

Other than those two touch-ups, it is definitely PL OK.

Greetings -

Some notes for Chapter 23:

TIME: 08:23 TEXT: "The Jones family had not cared for them;" COMMENT: The words "had not" has been left out of the reading.

TIME: 19:19 TEXT: "Express messengers rode an entire division" COMMENT: "messengers" sounds more like "messages"...or maybe my allergy plugged ears just think they are hearing it that way.

Nice job of reading for such a longer section.

Yes it is! Listed in the Magic Window as "Open"

If you would like to record it, let me know how you would like to be listed in the LV catalog, and I'll be glad to assign it to you.
This can be your real name, pseudonym, or any nickname you wish. This is how you will be credited for all of your LibriVox work.

You've got it!
Just click on you name in the MW to view your reader page. This is where you can track all of your LV projects, of which I hope there will be many.

WELCOME TO LIBRIVOX
