Jean Craig, Graduate Nurse, by Kay Lyttleton

This book may not be PD outside the US.

All audio files can be found on our catalog page: https://librivox.org/jean-craig-graduate-nurse-by-kay-lyttleton/

As Jean Craig finished her training and prepared for graduation, illness struck—first in her own family, and later in epidemics that swept the village of Elmhurst. It was with a deep feeling of satisfaction that Jean was able to give trained and efficient aid at the hospital. It was with equal satisfaction that she watched romance blossom between Dr. Benson, the fresh young intern, and Eileen Gordon, the new Supervisor of Nurses, and discovered that her sister Kit was practically engaged. But the joy of the family reached a new peak when Doris, the youngest daughter, won a music scholarship. Jean Craig, Graduate Nurse is another heartwarming and happy story about the Craigs of Elmhurst. (Summary by Falcon Books)

Chapter 2
Hi Brittany
There are a couple of technical issues that need to be corrected. Luckily both are simple and once you change the settings on your computer, they will remain that way until you change them.

All our files need to be in mono.

Your bit rate is wrong. We need it at 128kbs.

Overall, a nice, clear first reading. A few times it seemed you were unsure what you were reading... glancing through the ext first might help, although I tend to jump-in and if I find I'm hesitant,I re-read the sentence, and cut out the flub during editing. This helps with phrasing and expression.

Please do the edits mentioned and re-upload using the same file name.

I don't think this is PD for you in Europe. It was written in 1950 but we don't know when the author died. Although our sources tell us copyright was not renewed in the US, so it is PD despite being published after 1926, in most of Europe it needs to be 70 years after the author's death.

Thanks, Lynnet! I tried uploading my file from a couple of different browsers, but I am getting an "Error True" message. This is the first time I've had this problem. It passed the "Checker" program I have. I'm not sure if there is a setting, name typo, or something I need to adjust. Could you advise please?

I have not come across this error before. Most uploading errors can be fixed by logging out then back in, but I will ask more techie people.
