Predecessors of Cleopatra, by Leigh North ( - 1920)

This project is now complete! All audio files can be found on our catalog page: https://librivox.org/predecessors-of-cleopatra-by-leigh-north/

This book provides such information as was known at the onset of the 20th Century about Egyptian queens in antiquity. Much has been learned in the ensuing 100+ years so this book needs to be considered in the context of the time in which it was written. Queens are covered from Princess Nefert of the 3rd Dynasty through the (in)famous Cleopatra. Leigh North is the pseudonym of Mrs. Elizabeth Stewart Phelps. (Summary by mleigh)

Your MW is ready! I put a ~ on the subject line to advertise for a DPL, unless you have someone in mind already. If not, we will wait a day or two to see if we can pick one up.

Welcome to LibriVox. It is a lot of fun. You may certainly have those two chapters. Please let me know under what name you would like to appear in the LibriVox public catalog. It can be your real name, your forum name, or some other name.

Before you tackle these two chapters. please read the following and submit a 1 minute test recording to verify your settings match the technical specifications required.

Please see our Newbie Guide to Recording for further instructions. A quick guide to our required technical settings can be found here.

Thanks,

M
