I appreciate your and the other readers' patience with PL notes for this project that may seem nit-picky. Especially with a scanned text that isn't as easy to read and find specific phrases in as something on Project Gutenberg.
Au Contraire, dear Scarbo, it's quite nice to get more detailed listening/reading so we get apprised of our errors. I know for a fact that I throw in un-called for 'that's' in too many places and in fact they do change the intended tone (if not the meaning) and I ALWAYS dis myself severely on hearing any missed words, because it always sounds better with the actual ones. Keep up the good work! (Your inclusion of the page number is a nice touch too)

Thanks,
Brize

Attached is chapter 13, running 11:35.

Also would like to request chapter...(oh my, we're making some progress now!)...25. And if continuity of voice over several chapters is considered a plus from the listener's perspective, I'll be happy to commit thru chapter 29. Otherwise, I'll keep popping in at random as we go.

Thanks,
Brize

Thanks for another great reading with chapter 13! The only note I have is that at 5:49, "These ingenuous words," you say "These ingenious words" (p. 65)

Whatever readers' preferences are for which chapters to claim is fine with me! I've signed you up for chapters 25-29. Thank you for claiming!

Thank you for your kind words above!
For the time being, I'll need a little more time than usual to PL sections that come in on weekdays. Thanks for your patience.

Thanks for another great reading! The only note I have is that at 17:22, "dark and tortuous streets," you say "dark and torturous streets" (125).

You're welcome! That threw me off at first when I was filling in the MW.

Another great catch! I'm not even sure I knew 'ingenuous' was a word, let alone how to say it, but I'll be sprinkling it into my language whenever I can now! Still running 11:34.

https://librivox.org/uploads/icequeen/consuelo_013_sand_128kb.mp3

And here is 25, ready for perusal, running 16:51

https://librivox.org/uploads/icequeen/consuelo_025_sand_128kb.mp3

Somebody mentioned a 'wild ride' in describing this book, and I think I'm starting to feel it. Who needs Cedar Point when you can get a ride like this whilst never leaving your chair!

Thank you,
Brize

Chapter 13 is PL OK! Thank you! "Ingenuous" is a very fitting word for the character Consuelo.

And thank you for chapter 25! I have one optional note, so I've gone ahead and marked it PL OK. At 3:55 (the end of p. 137), "mysterious language of the Shades," pronouncing "Shades" with one syllable might help make the meaning clearer for the listener. But mythological shades are associated with Hades, so I understand the pronunciation choice! And if you'd rather focus on the next chapters than edit this one, that's fine.

It gets even more exciting in the chapters right after this one!

Well, Scarbo, you followed my thinking exactly - first went with one syllable, then thought what the heck is that? So sniffed around the web a little and discovered the 'Hades' connection. and thought, well maybe this is a term so sort of forced it in, hoping it was. If you've heard the single syllable 'Shades' in this context, then that's what I'm going with, as I was at a loss. Thanks for the input.
