PL OK! Thank you!
For the time being, I'll need a little more time than usual to PL sections that come in on weekdays. Thanks for your patience.

Thank you for chapter 7! It sounds great. I have just one note: at 1:55 (p. 35), "Everyone knows, however," I hear "Everyone knows, whoever."
Re-attached is chapter 7, still running 12:55, I hope this time more agreeable, however.

Thank you for chapter 8! It sounds great, as usual. I have just two notes:

- At 3:50, "At last, as he preserved," you say "At last, as she preserved" (p. 41)
- At 7:25, "say not long ago to his wife," you say "say that not long ago to his wife" (p. 42)
For the time being, I'll need a little more time than usual to PL sections that come in on weekdays. Thanks for your patience.

I have uploaded Ch 10 Length 15:41
https://librivox.org/uploads/icequeen/consuelo_010_sand_128kb.mp3

On page 53, at 14:49 there is this sentence--- Blessings then be on you, oh my child, and may your earthly happiness correspond with your deserts. I read the last word as desserts, which seemed more appropriate. I can redo if you wish. Thank you.

Thank you for chapter 10! It sounds great, as always, and the pronunciation of "deserts" works just fine. I have only one note: at 15:29, "you knew not what I was," you say "you know not what I was" (p. 53, at the very end of the chapter). It seems like a minor difference, but in context it conveys a somewhat different meaning.
For the time being, I'll need a little more time than usual to PL sections that come in on weekdays. Thanks for your patience.

Thank you for chapter 11! It sounds great, and the only note I have is that at 3:05, "some dilletanti patricians," I hear "tum dilletanti patricians" (p. 54).

I'll listen to chapter 12 later this evening, and in the meantime, I've signed you up for chapters 21-24. Thank you for claiming!

Thank you for chapter 12! Another great reading. I have just two notes:

- At 3:28, "so sacrifice what is necessary," you say "so sacrifices what is necessary" (p. 59)
- At 11:56, "without being able to draw her from her melancholy," you say "without being able to draw from her melancholy" (p. 62)

It's funny how you remember the smallest detail of what you read (or thought you read) because as soon as I saw your note I thought "no, no, no, it was SHE that preserved that silence, because she did not wish to break it, I remember..." OOPS! Makes you wonder how many misreads I've done in my reading over the years. (Don't worry, I read most enjoyable books at least twice, so eventually I get properly informed). Thanks for the excellent proofing, and still running 12:44

PL OK! Thank you! I appreciate your and the other readers' patience with PL notes for this project that may seem nit-picky. Especially with a scanned text that isn't as easy to read and find specific phrases in as something on Project Gutenberg.
For the time being, I'll need a little more time than usual to PL sections that come in on weekdays. Thanks for your patience.
