- At 10:52, "with a virtuous and confiding hope," I hear "with a virtuous and infiding hope" (p. 113)
- At 13:02, "if indeed he be any longer capable of comprehending them," you say "if indeed he being any longer capable of comprehending them" (p. 114)

At 3:55 (the end of p. 137), "mysterious language of the Shades," pronouncing "Shades" with one syllable might help make the meaning clearer for the listener.

I guess you could say the folks called 'Shades' are indeed unknown and mysterious to me, but I certainly don't want to be re-naming them the SHAY-dees, which arguably sounds worse. Plus, they may re-appear later in this wild ride.

Thank you for chapter 30! Well done, as usual! The only note I have is that at 6:10, "You, a daughter of the people," you say "You are a daughter of the people" (p. 178). (It seems like a minor difference, but "You, a daughter..." helps convey Amelia's incredulousness.)

I had to look up gargouillades. Poor Amelia!
