Great read and perfect volume.
There was a minor mistake with one word being substituted for another.
~ 8:29 - "...treason of Arnold, which cause me the most painful..." instead of "...which cost me the most...".

Cheers, Cindy.

Hi Cindy,

First, welcome to LV and proof-listening! I hope you enjoy the experience. It becomes addictive (says one who has PLed over 1,300 sections, including DPLing over 50 projects in the last 8 years). :D

Thanks for the PL, your kind comments, and your alert hearing.

I noticed the issue during final review before submitting, but since it was minor, didn't change (IMHO) the author's intent/context, was verbally close in sound, and the PL level is standard (not word-prefect), I didn't feel it necessary to make a change for this. But I appreciate your noting it.

Thank you,
Don (DACSoft)

Thanks! I'm already beginning to find that LibriVoxing is easy to :9: !

I did debate about noting it, but as it does sort of change the meaning I thought I should. I can always get a second opinion from Larry, and then mark it PL OK or otherwise.

I agree with Don here, the mistake is, as you say, minor and doesn't substantially change the meaning or detract from the overall flow of the narrative. So, under criteria for "standard PL," this is quite acceptable.

These are always judgement calls, and you'll get used to them.
If something is borderline, I will sometimes mention something as an optional correction, giving the reader the choice of correcting something, but still marking it PL OK. Some readers do appreciate constructive suggestions along the way.

Anyway, you are off to a flying start!

Thank you for your interest in this project.
We do, however, request that our new readers first complete a one-minute test recording to check out all of your technical specifications and any reading issues.

New to recording? Please read our Newbie Guide to Recording!

Among the useful information there you will find instructions for completing your test recording. Once you have the "OK" on that, post again here and you are free to record for this project. Let us know how you would like to be credited in the LibriVox catalog - real name, pseudonym or other nickname.

Take some time to browse the forums to get an idea of how things run, read some wikis, take a look at some video tutorials so that you are prepared to start reading.

I will go ahead and put you in for Section 7, and once you have that completed, I can assign more sections to you. There will be plenty to go around.

Let me know if you have any questions.
