Section 4 is uploaded. Liquid voice? Hmmm. I feel I must apologize for the hoarseness of my voice on these two sections. Must be the Stress Of Ida.
Still it was rather an effort to get Hermann's long sentences untangled enough so they flow smoothly, so I'm kind of proud of myself on that. These live lectures were probably accompanied by chalkboard diagrams and equipment.

Per your note on 03, I do strive to put 5 seconds after each file, but I understand from other comments around the LV playground, that "around 5 seconds" means that 4 or 6 seconds is okay too.

Uploaded Section 1 of Popular Lectures on Scientific Subjects by Hermann Helmholtz
Ch.2 Pt.1 On the origin and significance of geometrical axioms

https://librivox.org/uploads/triciag/popularlectures_01_helmholtz_128kb.mp3
37:51

This section and the next explore the place of axioms in geometry and the need to use algebraic (i.e., Analytic) Geometrical methods to avoid the pitfall of using our human experience to prove mathematical conjectures which should be divorced from what our eyes and other sensed urge us to consider as universal truths.

This section and the next are really interesting, once you get into them.

I need a volunteer to Proof Listen this and the next section. First come, first served. Who's it going to be???

Thank you Owlivia! The Helmholtz ball is getting started finally. It's good to hear your smooth and confident voice again.

No errors, not even a quibble did I hear, so Section 13 is PL OK

Verla
Verla,
Thank you for offering your services to this Helmholtz project! I'll be happy to assign these massive and difficult sections to you, if you can offer assurance that you'll be able to complete them in a timely manner. It seems that you are relatively new to Librivox, so I'd like you to try reading a portion of section 8, then, with the knowledge of how long it has taken you, get back to me with your rough estimate of how long it will take you to do the whole trio.

I'm assigning all 3 sections to you now, but if you foresee difficulties, let me know and I'll open them up to other readers.

Again, Thank You!!

Section 18 - Autobiographical sketch part 1 There are two slip ups in the early part of the file: but otherwise very professionally done.

00:37 Heard "On the occasion of my SevenTEENTH birthday"
S/B: "On the occasion of my SEVENTIETH birthday"

1:08 Heard "have conferred Grand COURSES on me"
S/b: have conferred Grand CROSSES on me"
