Miss Lochinvar, by Marion Ames Taggart (1866 - 1945)

All audio files can be found on our catalog page: https://librivox.org/miss-lochinvar-by-marion-ames-taggart/
A story for girls. At breakfast, Mr. Graham drops the bombshell that his niece -- Joan, Jane or Janet, he's not sure which, will be arriving from the west to live with his large family. The news is met with mixed emotions - horror from his wife, resentment from the eldest two daughters and amusement from the eldest son. What will this stranger be like? How will she fit in with her cousins? (Summary by Lynne Thompson)

Welcome to Librivox!
I will get you set up, but do wait for the feedback on your test. It may save time in the long run.
All the information you need is in the first post, but please ask if you have questions.

I just submitted chapter 1. I'll take chapter 2 if I could. :) I'd like to keep two projects from LibriVox on my calendar.

Chapter 1
Nicely read but there is a moderate amount of background noise. This should respond to another round of noise cleaning https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rvhqw7zBmEo

I *think* I fixed it. I'm using Audition and ran a light Isotope Voice De-noise and then did a dynamic gate on anything past the average RMS. I didn't hear any problems, but then again I'm in air conditioning. Thank you for your help and patience! :)
