Thank you for section 13 and another quick turnaround! The chapter sounds great. I have just one note: at 5:44, "appease the consciences," you say "appease the consciousness."ComfortKC wrote: ↑August 26th, 2021, 11:46 am https://librivox.org/uploads/alg1001/whosedaughter_13_gardener_128kb.mp3 7:59

Thank you for chapter 2! This is a very nicely done first reading! I have just a few notes:Cedricwn wrote: ↑September 5th, 2021, 12:59 pm https://librivox.org/uploads/alg1001/whosedaughter_02_gardener_128kb.mp3

- At 5:27, "They had reached the portiere," you say "They had reached the porterie."
- At 6:48, "from the portiere," you say "from the porterie."
- At 7:02, "The folds of the portiere," you say "The folds of the porterie."
- Could you add a bit more silence to the end so that there are about five seconds of silence?
- The volume is currently 81.8 dB. Could you amplify it to somewhere within the target range of 87-92 dB? If you're using Audacity, you can amplify by going to Effect>Amplify. By the way, you can check the volume of a file by using the Checker tool.
This is an optional note: I did notice a bit of background noise. It's by no means loud enough to distract the listener, but if you'd like to try noise-cleaning this file to reduce background noise, you can visit this page to learn more.
If you have any questions about editing, I'm happy to help!

Thank you for the updated version! There's just one more change to make and then you'll be all set: could you add about five seconds of silence to the end?Cedricwn wrote: ↑September 9th, 2021, 6:58 am Hi,

Since the file length for this version is different from the first one, I wanted to ask whether you re-recorded this chapter. If you ever get notes on word changes in your recordings, you don't need to re-record the whole chapter! You can just record the word or phrase that needs to be redone, paste the new word/phrase in, and delete the old one. If you use Audacity, this brief tutorial might be helpful. You might find it easier to record the new phrase by going to File>New instead of recording it in the same window as the file you're editing.
Not only does this save you a lot of trouble, but it helps the proof-listener because they can spot-check just the parts of the recording that have notes instead of PLing the whole thing again.
