The last open section. :) I'll put you in!

How would you like to be credited in the catalog? There are places for a catalog name (some use a nickname or forum name, some their real name) and a link to a personal web site or blog, if you have one. I recommend using whatever name you say (if any) when you say, "recorded by [your name]" as that's how listeners will look for you. (Keep in mind that prospective employers, classmates, enemies, etc. can also find you using the catalog name, so be cautious if privacy might be an issue.)

Readers Found -- better get mine in

This was fun to read!
Oregon is where I grew up, though in the northwest corner with the wheat and peas.

But, we moved to the southern coast where I worked in the lumber mills in the summer. I remember seen those old growth trees brought down on trucks, that could accommodate only one huge log. Sadly, the old growth virgin forests are long gone, and clear cutting has destroyed hundreds of acres of even second growth timber, and the mighty mills with their wigwam burners dotting the night sky are no more.

The Douglas Fir is the state tree -- not a true fir, or even a spruce or pine, but still magnificent. And the towering Port Orford cedar and sugar pine are other giants. He didn't mention one of the most unique trees of the region the Myrtle Wood trees, found only in southwestern Oregon and the Holy Land. A hard, broadleaf evergreen with rich and varied grain. I'm going be visiting there in August during blackberry season.

He also doesn't mention Oregon's only national park, Crater Lake. (Of more recent date, the Dunes National Recreational are on the southern coast.)

And, he is right, these natural places are safer than the highways!
On the road again, so delays are possible

Apparently it was made a national park in 1902, while these articles were written in 1901 and earlier. :)

(You don't have to announce your catalog name anymore. It's in your profile, which is what was needed the first time you signed up for a section: https://librivox.org/reader/15179) :)
Thanks!
