As discussed elsewhere, I am starting this project as our other collaborative MacDonald is fully claimed. I will read the first chapter to kick things off.

A DPL would be greatly appreciated!

I see that the first post format has been cleaned up and streamlined beautifully. Thanks to whoever put in that work! Is it a new standard to leave off the repeat of the chapter number before the chapter title at the end of the intro? I have shortened the book title in the file name for this project, if that's okay.

The old template just said [chapter] without saying what that meant (chapter title? chapter number? both? none - just the text?). Feel free to change that portion if you want the chapter number repeated. :)

(My MC plate is full, so I won't be MC'ing this. I just wanted to answer your question.)

Yes, thank you, Eliza! It looks like you already have DPL experience, but just ask if you run across any questions here.

Have you read "Paul Faber" before? Or other MacDonalds? These longer novels can take quite a while to complete as collaborative recordings, but they're worth it!

Since I wrote this book summary years after reading the book (with memory prompts from online), please let me know if you find I made any blatant errors in it once you've heard the story!

I have not read this story before. I have only read a couple of MacDonald’s short stories. I’m sure this will be much different and longer, so looking forward to it!

I will try to remember to look at the book summary when we’ve gotten through a lot of the book, but don’t hesitate to remind me if I forget.

I'm looking at Chapter 3 for narration. Just have to figure out the proper pronunciations of a couple of the names and terms before jumping in.

Thanks for your claim, Jd488. And welcome to LibriVox! If you have any questions, just ask.

I am saving Chapter 3 for you. How would you like your name listed in the catalogue? Some choose their forum username, some use their real name, and others choose a "pen-name." Also, if you have a website which you would like linked to your account (visible to those who look up readers they enjoy), I can add that at this point. Just let me know!

The two main words I'm trying to figure out are Ramshorn and Bevis. Are the s and the h in the name pronounced together (sh) like the name looks or or separate (Rams Horn)? With the second name, Bevis, is the e long or short? I'm figuring the s and h are pronounced separately in Ramshorn and the e in Bevis is short.

On the chapter list, you can use my username. In the narration, I will use my real name.

As far as my website goes, I'm an indie author and only my books and blog are there. I haven't added any voice over gigs, demos, or narrations (what few I've done) to it yet. Besides, it needs to be revamped and that's when I'll add the voice over part of my business. If you'd like, I will go ahead and add my website to my profile.
