Rhwebb17 wrote: May 4th, 2021, 7:50 am Hi! Can I do section 11/chapter 9, if it is still available? Thank you!
Welcome! It's available. I'll put you in for it.

How would you like to be credited in the catalog? There are places for a catalog name (some use a nickname or forum name, some their real name) and a link to a personal web site or blog, if you have one. I recommend using whatever name you say (if any) when you say, "recorded by [your name]" as that's how listeners will look for you. (Keep in mind that prospective employers, classmates, enemies, etc. can also find you using the catalog name, so be cautious if privacy might be an issue.)

Please, before recording this, do the one-minute test (LINK) to check your technical settings. It's not an audition, but to make sure you're exporting at the correct bit rate, have your recording in mono, etc. It would be a shame to record the whole section, only to have to scrap it and redo it because of some simple setting that is incorrect. :)

Hi Tricia!
Thank you so much! I would like to be credited just using my name, Rachel Webb. I have posted a test run earlier today and everything seemed fine. Please let me know if you need anything else!

Okay... but perhaps you didn't notice that section 23 is also ready?

Here's Section 7, Chapter 5, on child laborers. Duration 17:26
https://librivox.org/uploads/triciag/darknessanddaylight_07_various_128kb.mp3

Sorry--I initially uploaded this with an "05"in the section name, then cleared that from the form and reuploaded with the section number instead. I hope that won't cause a problem when Chapter 3, section 5, is uploaded.

Back from a low-internet no-Librivox year in Georgia. Glad to be with you again.

Thanks! No problem with the mis-name. The new section 5 will overrule your file. :)
