Thank you for section 18 - it sounds great! There are just two minor changes to make:
- At 0:49, "never again was I," you say "never was I."
- The dB level is at 85.2 Could you amplify it a bit to somewhere within the target range of 87-92?
You probably know this, but I wanted to mention just in case: fixing a word change doesn't mean that you have to record the whole section over again!
You can record just the phrase or sentence that you're replacing, copy it, and paste it in.
And here are some suggestions to keep in mind for future recordings:
- From time to time I'm hearing the volume get a little softer and then go back to normal (for example, "I was ignorant of the ways..." at 1:30). I'm not sure what could be causing this, but if you find that it keeps happening, you might find it worth asking about in the help forum. All the words are still audible, though, so there's no need to re-record when it happens in this recording.
- Occasionally I hear plosive sounds. Two things that often help readers reduce plosives are experimenting with mic placement or putting a piece of hosiery over the microphone. (I have a knee-high tied over my mic myself.)
Again, section 18 sounds very nice! The above suggestions are just things to keep in mind as you continue to record, but you don't need to change anything based on them for this file.
I discovered Sand via Chopin too!
Marianne is one of my favorite novels of hers, if you have a chance to read it.
For the time being, I'll need a little more time than usual to PL sections that come in on weekdays. Thanks for your patience.
