Great. Thank you, Sarah!sjr8545 wrote: ↑May 11th, 2021, 9:53 pm Section 4 is ready to be checked. I accidentally uploaded it to the wrong MC first time around (sorry Kazbek! ) but it's now in it's correct place.

May I grab sections 5 and 6? At this point I'm curious to see if the peace in France ever does hold on for more than a few days. I have my doubts...
Hello and welcome to LibriVox!
Thanks for your patience. Here are my PL notes for the first page of the section.Cn3140 wrote: ↑April 26th, 2021, 1:35 am Hi, this is my section 16 recording. (30minutes 11 seconds)

Thanks for PLing, Tracie!
We would be honored.listenclosely wrote: ↑May 13th, 2021, 8:06 am I see Section 4 is "Ready for PL" but not claimed. May I do the honors?
Sorry I don’t know what’s happened regarding the clipping - maybe I submitted a version I hadn’t finished editing by mistake - when I get opportunity I will look on my laptop to try and work out what I have done!Kazbek wrote: ↑May 13th, 2021, 11:59 amThanks for PLing, Tracie!
Ruth, aside from these notes, the volume is way high and there's clipping throughout. Luckily, the volume of sections 34 and 35 is fine, but something unusual must have happened to this section. Please de-amplify it by 12 dB. You wouldn't happen to have a version of this recording without the clipping?

Thanks! To be sure that the term "clipping" is clear: this is what happens when the volume peaks beyond what the software can handle, so that the soundwave looks clipped and the voice sounds distorted.
