Section 10 PL Notes:
The recording is too loud (93dB) and doesn't have adequate headroom which could lead to clipping. To remedy this, you could hard limit or normalize the entire reading to -3dB.

Section 11 PL Notes:
The recording is too loud (93dB) and doesn't have adequate headroom which could lead to clipping. There are also sections where the volume suddenly increases a lot then diminishes. To remedy this, you could hard limit or normalize the entire reading to -3dB.

Hi,

Here is my recording of section 3. Duration : 16:33
I have much more of an accent than I thought, but I hope it can still be understood by the listeners :?

Thank you.
Our standard is that it can be understood by native speakers 8-)

PL Notes for Chapter 17

Background noise: There are multiple car doors audibly being closed within the recording as well as a car alarm being set

At the end of the recording, you need to add "End of Chapter 17" before continuing with "End of Amid the High Hills..."
"I've always talked to myself, now I just hit record beforehand..."

I redid ch. 17 and reuploaded. Let me know!
FYI, redoing a section without being asked creates more work for the DPL. In future, only make edits you are asked to do. We still need the run time of the file. It’s for validation purposes. 8-)

Oh ok, did not realize that. Sorry, still new to librivox. There was a lot of background noise and wasn't sure how to fix that besides just redoing it. Will keep that in mind.
Also, ch. 16 is (22:42) and ch. 17 is (6:54)

We all have to learn 8-) If you’re not sure how to fix something, just ask. There are enough people here that between us we can sort something out.
