Could I grab a couple more sections? Maybe sections 10 and 11 if that works.

I am sorry to say it is not PD for you. The UK is a death+70 country and Sir Hugh Fraser died in 1966.nighthawks wrote: ↑April 23rd, 2021, 12:52 am I would like to record Section 01, but is the work in the public domain for the uk.

Here is my recording for section 9, ready for proofreading notes
Length: 10 minutes 43 seconds
The recording is too loud (93dB) and doesn't have adequate headroom which has caused loud clipping at: 3:54, 4:15, 5:26, 6:06, 7:34, 8:15, 8:18. To remedy this, you could hard limit or normalize the entire reading to -3dB.
Stumbles and/or repeats at: 4:01, 5:56, 7:43

Hi,
According to the gutenberg link, Sir Hugh Fraser died in 1927, which would make it PD even with the rule of 70 years after death? If I search "sir hugh fraser amid the high hills" on google, websites say the author was born in 1860 and died in 1927 as well. I did not know the author beforehand so I can't really say of course! But if his date really is 1966 and not 1927, I'll have to hand over section 3, as it would not be PD in my country.

When I set up the project, I couldn’t find info on him, but when nighthawks asked, I tried again and found “the first Sir Hugh Fraser” who founded The House of Fraser (department store chain) , and who was a keen outdoorsman. I put 2 and 2 together... which seems to have made 5. Your research may be more accurate.SachaKard wrote: ↑April 30th, 2021, 10:07 am
