If no one has claimed the last chapter, after I am caught up, I will claim it. It is only 5 short pages. Or you can just add me to it, if you prefer, instead of waiting to see if anyone takes Up to you. Just let me know.cadastra wrote: ↑February 27th, 2021, 1:00 pm Anyone want the last section in A Gallery of Children by A. A. Milne? The other 12 sections are PL OK so your help would be greatly appreciated!
COMPLETE - MARCH to the FINISH LINE - 2021 Cleanup Month
I’ve been trying to work up to tackling a chapter or two of The Deluge for ages...maybe March is the time!MaryAnnSpiegel wrote: ↑February 27th, 2021, 10:14 am Todd,
Looking through projects that have been going for over a year, here are a couple for you to consider if a push might get them completed in March:
The Deluge vol 2 viewtopic.php?f=2&t=65119 (started April 2017, 9 sections open, 79% complete)
The Three Commanders viewtopic.php?f=2&t=72370 (started Nov 2018, 14 sections open, 54% complete)
Works of the Right Honorable Edmund Burke Vol 1 viewtopic.php?f=2&t=78593 (started March 2020, 20 sections open, 32% complete)
Private Memoirs and Confessions of a Justified Sinner viewtopic.php?f=2&t=74930 (started May 2019, 4 sections open, 71% complete)
Lay Down Your Arms viewtopic.php?f=2&t=77502 (started Dec 2019, 37 sections open, 33% complete - this would be a long shot for March!)
MaryAnn
Lay Down Your Arms at least has the benefit of short chapters!

Nice poem!March is the month where we welcome the spring
March is the month where the birds start to sing
People spring-clean their houses anew
Come on Librivoxers - let's try this too !
So claim and record, or please help with PL
Remember that dramas need editors as well
Many projects wait for the final touch
If each of us helps, no one needs to do much.
Wow I had no idea this was going on. But here I am. Here are two of mine:
The storm of London:
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=85089
5 unclaimed sections.
Miss Meridith by Amy Levy:
viewtopic.php?f=28&t=84280
three orphans.

Love gothic novels? Try Children Of The Abbey. Like surprising mysteries? Try The Amathist Cross. Looking for an easy read? Try Harriet's Choice.
Thank you.

Great that this has started
I would like to put a languishing German DR project onto the list: viewtopic.php?f=60&t=80323 (Bauerngesellchtes). Still waiting for 34 roles to be filled, but they are small stories, so we we accept double casting if they claim for different stories. The maximum is 10 different voices still needed for one of the stories. I made a little advertisement PM to our German reading group, so lets hope some will help out.
Oh and in other news...inspired by the March challenge, Sandra and I will try to finish our first Luxembourgish standalone project during this month. We were dragging it along a bit as well, but we will try to push it through now. I am posting this here so I'll have peer-pressure to do it. Will let you know during the next few weeks whether we managed.

Hi! Boys and Girls has no open sections as it appears to me as well as On.
Russian readers wanted: Сказки, Мелкие рассказы Л. Андреева, Анна Ахматова (new), Short stories for Russian learners (и не только) (new).
Ukrainian readers wanted: Казки, Вiршi, Конотопська відьма (new)

I think we can finish Green Valley. A very easy read. 5 unclaimed sections, and many orphans would come in the next week or two.

In addition to keeping a list of projects that are completed through the cleanup, I thought some simple stats might be helpful to compare at the start and end of March.
So at the end of February, we have:
470 -- projects that are "fully subscribed"; these are solos and fully subscribed groups, including short works, books and dramatic readings
175 -- projects that are "open"; these are groups which have at least one section unclaimed
7 -- projects that are in "proof listening"; these are projects where all the sections are recorded and all that remains is the proof listening. (Two of these projects do not have a DPL)
1 -- project that is in the cataloging process.
====
653 -- total active projects as we start the clean up month!
And the two completed projects in need of a proof listener are:
La Gitanilla de Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra (Spanish) - 2 sections need PL and 1 section needs a spot check - viewtopic.php?f=12&t=82048
Christian Science by Mark Twain (English) - 19 sections need PL and 1 section needs a spot check - viewtopic.php?f=12&t=84231
If you can help, please post in the project thread (not here).
And we're off!

Remember that cleaning month is also great time to motivate new readers to join us. I joined during the clean up month 13 and a half years ago, when I was asked to help on a few projects. So yes, it's important, and while I am not going to target new readers, I am going to encarrage those I see as much as I can.
