Raggedy Ann's Wishing Pebble, by Johnny Gruelle (1880 - 1938)

This project is now complete! All audio files can be found on our catalog page: https://librivox.org/raggedy-anns-wishing-pebble-by-johnny-gruelle/
Raggedy Andy raised up on his cotton stuffed elbow and whispered to Raggedy Ann, "Less have another adventure! Shall we?"

And Raggedy Ann's shoe button eyes wiggled with pleasure and she whispered in reply, "Yes, Raggedy Andy! Less do!" So they tiptoed quietly to the window, climbed to the sill and catching hands jumped to the ground below,

"BLUMP! BLUMP!" And so this adventure began. (Summary from the introduction)

Moving over to Readers Wanted....

Just a note: I am unable to get a word count on texts only available on Hathi. That being said, these are not very long chapters. :-)

Hi,

I appreciate your enthusiasm, but I would like to do it as a group project at this point.

Feel free to start your own solo of the same book if you wish. :-)

:D  I am just starting my journey in narration, and am new to this site, so I am learning the ropes. Thank you for your patients, I appreciate it :D

I did not know we could do a book that was done in a group as a solo read???? I am going to have so much fun! :D

I will check over these chapters here and claim just a couple for this project and then yes, I am going to want to do this book solo as soon as I figure out how to do that.

Thank you!

Hello. I have done several Librivox recordings in the past, but it has been several years and I am rusty. That is to say, the technical side of the task will need to get up to speed. My love for reading, and I daresay, my voice and talent are still desirable.

Maybe something short and easy is a place to begin. If I sign on for this book, would you want me to take several chapters in succession? That would be fine. However, will I have a tutor to help me with the mechanics?

Also, a question about delivery. Do you want your characters to speak in distinct voices? That is how I would normally read a book like this. However, I guess that depends a lot on who sets the standard in Chapter 1. What is your preference?

Hi,

Welcome back to Librivox!

If you are rusty on the technical side of things, I would suggest doing a quick 1-minute test again, just to make sure your settings are correct.

What you claim is entirely up to you. :-) 1 chapter or a few - it's up to you! If you need help, I would ask your specific questions in the "Need Help" section of the forum.

No preference on how it is read. In a group project, everyone reads their particular sections in their own ways. :-)
